Ok, so somehow I got the wizard to recognise the missing memories. I think I used the badge juicer to decrease his badge levels, and then manually worked them up again – was probably a FreeTime bug. I got the latest >80Mb patch. *sigh* it’s sad that a patch has to be SO big. Anyhow, back to the challenge…

Please excuse the quality of pics. I realise now that they look quite hideous.

He made so many toys, it wasn’t long before he was In The Zone.

Spring Cleaning Saturday, 26 July 2008

So I’m doing some spring cleaning on this blog today. I had a few hours to kill, and it’ll probably be worth it. I noticed that a few challenges weren’t quite complete, eventhough I did finish playing them. I’ll try to update most of them today and publish them in the following week. Also I added a new category: Pics! Hopefully all posts with screenshots in them will be in this catergory – I know a lot of readers like to look at pictures more than actually reading pages of text.

But now I have the problem that if you click on the desired category, then all the post show up in their entirety (is that even a word?). So now I’m inserting some code into each and everyone of the pics entries to only show some intro text, then you’re goping to have to click more to read the entire post.

Hopfully this works.

Failure is not an Option… Saturday, 26 July 2008

Dusty Roads is the target sim

Poor, poor Dusty. He has to experience so many of the ‘bad’ thing in the game. I just gave him a few extra heartaches to live through hehe.

I left the Run away from Home objective till last. Otherwise I had to wait until he went to college or became an adult before I could finish the other objectives. Of course the D report card objective you can only get while he is at school, so hurry up and get that out of the way. Easy peasy – Dusty skipped homework a few times, and missed a day of school.

Then I tried to get him to see vermin. It was all about carrying trash towards the trashcan, and then canceling the action so that it drops onto the ground. Even a stray dog kicked the trashcan over – I just left everything so that the roaches will come sooner. Eventually little Dusty saw them bugs – eeeww.

He brought a friend home from school: Shenene Collins. They were BFF’s before his birthday. So I got her to age up with him (new option that came with Free Time). Turns out she’s a romance sim. She broke his heart. He eventually lost a fight to her new boyfriend. I had to cheat to give the beau a higher body skill that Dusty.

Needless to say he did have a lousy birthday party, it was a disaster actually. Rainee started making out wit the mailman. I didn’t want to have his relationship with his parents too low too early, in case he runs away before I completed any of the other objectives.

Visit from Repoman is easy as well; just don’t pay bills for a few days.
While parents had off days I worked on their relationships with other sims. I planned a grand finale for when Dusty decided to pack his bags. Rainee and Sunny both invited townies they were good friends with. Then I made them kiss their friends at the same time. Dusty nearly got whiplash from gawking at his parents. But his lifetime relationship was still too high with his Sunny. So I made Rainee break up with Sunny. He left the house (I found him again later in the sim bin in neighbourhood view). Wasn’t long and Dusty said that he had enough and he’s leaving.

Objectives completed!!

*** Tip leave free will ON, otherwise Dusty won’t run away. It’s an autonomous action.
