As with most hobbies, sometimes you just need a bit of a break. Sorry that I didn’t leave a note that I will be absent for a bit, that was totally selfish.
But I’m back into splaying sims2 again; not quite as often as I used to, but often enough to take a whack at these challenges.
I’ll update again soon – within this week! – with my progress regarding my current challenge.
Keep on Simming!!

P.S. I would have posted this sooner, but I was distracted: I had finally received my copy of Breaking Dawn – Amazing!! – and couldn’t put it down long enough to post How was that book hé?!?! The ending – still don’t know if I’m disappointed or not that it’s a happy ending. I was all psyched up for bloodshed and a final battle-to-end-all battles. Still a good read though and I’ll look out for any other titles Stephenie Meyer publishes. Pity that she won’t be finishing Midnight Sun… I hope she changes her mind, I would LOVE to read the whole of Edward’s side of Twilight.

Spring Cleaning Saturday, 26 July 2008

So I’m doing some spring cleaning on this blog today. I had a few hours to kill, and it’ll probably be worth it. I noticed that a few challenges weren’t quite complete, eventhough I did finish playing them. I’ll try to update most of them today and publish them in the following week. Also I added a new category: Pics! Hopefully all posts with screenshots in them will be in this catergory – I know a lot of readers like to look at pictures more than actually reading pages of text.

But now I have the problem that if you click on the desired category, then all the post show up in their entirety (is that even a word?). So now I’m inserting some code into each and everyone of the pics entries to only show some intro text, then you’re goping to have to click more to read the entire post.

Hopfully this works.

Been a wee bit distracted lately. I chatted to some chicks on msn and somehow Edward Cullen jumped into the conversation. I googled him and discovered the Twilight saga by Stephenie Meyer. I now admit that I’m hooked. I ordered the first book, Twilight, read it in 3 days (I had to work in between) then re-read it over the weekend. Rushed to the intertubes and ordered the next 2 books, New Moon and Eclipse. Finished them 2 days ago… it’s like dark chocolate, you know you shouldn’t eat it all in one go, but it’s just too good.

In between I stalked Stephenie’s site and lurked a bit on the forums, but doubt if I’ll join in the teeny bopper fascination and get all squealy at the prom nights. I’ll stick to swooning while reading in bed, and secretly reading the pdf outtakes on my work computer.

At the moment I’m suffering from Twilght withdrawal symptoms. I simply cannot wait for Breaking Dawn to be released in August, though I have no idea when I’ll be able to get my hands on it. Also anticipating the movie’s release in December! Imagine Cedric Diggory as Edward Cullen— grrr. And isn’t Bella played by the chick that was in Panic Room? The diabetic one? Looks like her.

And of course I secretly vote for team Jacob – I know Edward melts my heart, but Jacob… gotta love that wolf.

Better news is that Stephenie also wrote a book for adult fans, The Host. This looks like the start of a beautiful obsession.
